Strange thing these Italian dialects - Davide, who is Pavese, couldn't help us much in understanding the poem.

What were you doing on Saturday?

Five of us were free and had no other "impieghi" so we went for "cena" at the same pizzeria da Giulio. Siamo diventati i suoi clienti fedeli.

On Saturday Maurizio invited me and Franca to experiment his cooking skills and even asked us to be "le cavie" (the guinea piggs) for him, but as you see we are alive (!!) and happy :)

The first try of what? Andare a cenare tutti insieme! It's been three months that we are studying together but all our ideas to meet after the lectures and go out together are kept on the "verbal" level - we are thinking, talking but not finding time to do that.

So yesterday (maybe because it was la festa della Repubblica) all who remained in Pavia - Davide, Maurizio and me (it's a pity that Franca didn't join us even after a long negotiation round) - went for a pizza in pizzeria da Giulio!

Yeah..! the pizza was great, the company - superb. So, after this first try we know how it's done and HOPEFULLY we'll be FINALLY able to do it - la grande cena tutti insieme...
