antonella e hildegard
We all were very perplexed at the beginning of this course but “piano piano” seems we are understanding what the professor Magni wanted from us some months ago. E' meglio dopo che mai, no ?
professore magni
i think he will be one of these who we'll remember with pleasure after this course.

monia and franca clear up the things
let's not break the rules of the house.
TRAKSHT TRABAKSHT BUM...
broken.
I piatti sono fatti - lavorano tutti i tre. Beata io, ho fotografato e basta.. :)
monia is angry
The problem is, that Franca and Maurizio also had their own rules, which were al contrario di quella di Monia. Ecco, la guerra calda..

my neighbours
Maurizio and Franca are my 'teachers', when I don't understand something in Italian, I ask them, and probably they lose some part of the lecture trying to explain me.. scusatemi, ah?... Grazie, ragazzi.
cortile delle magnolie
se non sbaglio, these trees are called 'magnolia'. And this yard is a really nice one, calm and with shadows, so probably during the sunny days it will be full of students..
That family I found there on Saturday. What am I doing here on Saturday??
group work
We are very very 'group' working people:) yeah, we are!
My experience of studies in Finland was very different from this in Italy. In the land of Santa Claus was very difficult to communicate and to involve my group mates in some work together, while in Italy everyone are more open and available for discussion. Probably that's the part of the culture, what do you think?
Principessa and her bodyguard
Ok, finally one 'normal' photo of Franca. And again about lunch break.
I should make that photo set about lunch...
I really should...
green sadness
Oh, Franca, she's great in making faces :) She used to take care of kids and I'm sure she was playing a clown with them..
hildegard
Hildegard - she's Pavese and she speaks with "rhhhh" French like Davide. Bellissimo! She was the first who I talked to when we came for an interview for this master and she was very nice to show me around and offer her help.
Another thing, she reminds me very much one my very good friend from Lithuania... that makes me think - probably in this world we have some people who look similar to us, but we hardly meet them. Usually it's our friends or people we know that say "oh, you know, that person looks like you..!"
I personally would love to meet another person like me. Just to see how I look from the back ..:)
monia ha fame
Hammm.....
Guardare e invidiare - that's all what remains for those who eat fast, giusto, Giuseppe?
monia and her panino
Seems like I could make a whole set of the lunch photos and Monia is definitely a STAR in this field :)

University
University of Pavia is an old one.
"Fondazione a Pavia di uno Studium generale dal quale deriva l'Università , risale all'imperatore Carlo IV, nel 1361, dietro sollecitazione di Galeazzo II Visconti duca di Milano".
And I have never studied in a university so nice and so old. Gives some feeling of centuries...
Who wears red shoes?
The answer is unique: famous Marco Mariani, our professor of Strategic Management (who uses to say mAnAgement and pronounce A like in a word "march" or "mars", but seems that all Italians have this 'particolarità':) Comunque, lui è bravo. And makes us laugh and creates a very motivating learning environment. Ah.
Strategic management
The course which is the most interesting for me for one reason: that's what I have studied all my 'university life' and now I have an opportunity to learn the terms of management in Italian.
But for other guys it's something new and quite amusing :)
What we do in life?
Seems that most of us, who take part in this master course, have recently graduated or were not able to find some work for a longer time. However, some of students are working. And working in the places which are "abbastanza impressionante". Like Michela, she works in 'questura' but she's not a policewoman. Ah, bel lavoro questo...
I have read somewhere the survey saying that women adore men in uniforms. I wonder, what's the percentage of men who feel more attracted to a lady in uniform? Michela, stai attenta!
Sunny lunch
- smiling and shining. She's Maria Vittoria and she's the first person who I met having two names. Cool. I'm considering to add some name for me too.. What about..? -- let me think.
P.S. I feel that the phrase with "who I met" and "having" isn't correct, but can't figure out how to write it in a more decent way. Gosh, my English is deteriorating not in months but in days. I hope this weblog will make me to remember something...
maurizio and giuseppe
During the lunch break: discussing the news of politics and sport - let's not forget, we're in Italy!
No photos, please!
She said "nobody succeeds to take a photo of me", ah, peccato, but I just photographed her without knowing that... By the way, she's Monia :)
Lunch break - Pausa di Pranzo
My stomach starts complaining before midday. I look around and meet the eyes of Monia and I see that she's going through the same situation. Doh... Here's another hour to go untill the break of lunch at 1:00 pm when we all go out in the yard of university and will open our bags searching for "panino" brought from home or bought in the nearest bar.
Is it healthy? Let's not ask ourselves such questions. Is it cheap? Yes. We received a discount card which allows us 2 days per weak to eat in the "mensa" of university and pay only 5 EUR, but it's quite much...
And it's a perfect moment to catch some sun rays and warm your old bones...
Computers are our friends or..?
Spending all the day in the classroom full of PCs makes me sick. And it doesn't end here as we continue working on PC after the lectures as well.
Information society, no?..
Give me a glass of milk, per favore...
franca e davide studiano
That photo is taken in early April when we were working on the 'esercizi' of course in "Economia Applicata". I should write more about this course, because it's really worth to be described in more details. Will work on this later.
Secret smile
Do you remember that old song of ... eh.. Semisonic(?) called "Secret smile".. however, after the long day of the lectures there's nothing better than a good friendly smile to keep you up in spirit.
Studying in three
in the department of Statistics. Monia, Davide e Maurizio exploring "tutta la bellezza di statistica".. probably you won't believe, but this subject became interesting even for me!

official introduction
Ok. That's what they said in their announcement. And here we are - 14 students in this master at University of Pavia, Italy. And I'm the only "straniera", foreigner in this group. Maybe that's the reason why I am noticing so many strange (nice or not so nice) things in this study program, in the environment of university, in relations of students with teachers and friendship among students...
I like to take photos. For me, it's like capturing a moment of your life and conserving it for the future. Sometimes happens, that only these captured "photo" moments remain and all else vanish. So, I thought, why not to capture these moments of our experience in this master?...
I hope to post here some photos of my group and I would wish to make this "space" attractive for all my groupmates... We'll see how I succeed... If I find some free time from 'analisi di dati' course... :)
